PIMHANS is registered under Societies Act, established in 1990 , under Chairmanship of Late Sri.G.V.L.N.Murthy, I.A.S. ( Retired District Collector and Magistrate , Berhampur, Orissa, INDIA )
Is a Secular, non-religeous and political body working for the following :
1.RURAL DEVELOPMENT :
Working for safe drinking water , Sanitation, Poverty alleviation for weaker sections in Rural people of Visakhapatnam , Vizainagaram and Srikakulam districts of Andhra Pradesh, South India by forming self help groups and creating income generating programs and Community based programs.
Interacting with local bodies, Government and other C.B.Os , N.G.Os , Civil Society bodies Of National and International agencies at micro level to bring the above target groups above Poverty line.
2.ENVIRONMENT :
Preserving the natural and Conventional resources through development of participatory Wasteland and natural resource generation Schemes involving women self help groups by Increasing development and use of renewable energy sources for the future generations by linking energy efficiency and renewable to economic and Social development.
3.EDUCATION :
Working towards Universaliation of elementary education particularly for the marginalised groups of Children, illiterate adults , Street children and children from unorganised sector.
4.DISABLED :
Working with multiple handicapped and Thalassemia patients from rural parts of ARIPAKA of Sabbavaram mandal of Visakhapatnam , Vizainagaram and Srikakulam districts of Andhra Pradesh of South INDIA and Trinidad and Tobago, British West Indies.

5.WOMEN EMPOWRMENT :
By promoting through a holistic approach for the empowerment of women, particularly the below poverty line and weaker sections through education, awareness creation, self help skill formation and income generatingactivities by encouraging gender rights, family planning rights, thrift and small saving promotion, among self help groups in eighteen villages and hamlets of vizanagaram district and Visakhapatnam District of Andhra Pradesh Of south india.
6.M.C.H SERVICS :
Working to fill the gaps between the medical and health services offered to the mother and child by government and the other national an international agencies working at the macro and micro levels , particularly :
- Immunisation
- Family Planning
- Infectious Diseases
- Health education and IEC Skills
- Multi specialty camps, Particularly in rural and tribal areas.
